My favorite fish is Basa -- have YOU tried it yet? - Sun, 16 Nov 2008
We dropped by a new restaurant called Meyer's Latin Flair. I opted for the Spicy Fish -- Pescado Picante. Incredible! The sauce reminded me of what grandma's veal paprikash sauce looked like ... well, except for the spicy taste!

The lady was nice enough to give me some of the homemade creamy rocoto sauce to go. Now that is an incredible additional topping for this fish ... like a cayenne pepper.

It's back in the stores! - Thu, 07 Aug 2008
Last night we were in St. Augustine Beach with friends and decided to have dinner at the world famous deck and restaurant, The Oasis. 3 of us opted to have blackened or grilled fish -- I and another woman went for the fish salad. I asked the waiter, 'What fish?' His reply, 'Basa, it's an Asian fish.' WOW! I was amazed as this is the first time I've ever gotten Basa in a restaurant. Today I found it at the Publix. It's back! Ya gotta try it.
