Whoever came up with Giant Microbes was a genius. They make good gifts for geeks or anyone who has a slightly odd sense of humor. They could also be potentially fun ways to teach kids about diseases.

If you haven't heard of them yet, Giant Microbes are plushies that represent microbes such as the flu, malaria, E. Coli, etc. Oddly enough, they're endearing. Some people think they're in poor taste, though. What are your thoughts? Are Giant Microbes cute, or are they a disturbing concept?
