The Fluffanutta reports that tag pages AREN'T indexed by Google. This means that tag pages are NOT important for SEO!
I feel a bit peeved that the people at squidoo HQ didn't think to TELL us that before. The block for search engines has been in effect since late 2007!
It also goes to show that we need more SEO nit pickers. None of us thought to check the robots.txt file before this :(

Some of my own lenses are dropping in traffic - being dropped from google totally.
Does this mean the tips don't work - well no: I've not been applying them all as well as I should. Some of my best ranking lenses had hardly any external links. It's not really all that easy to get external links for squidoo lenses...
